SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- A California teen is lucky to be alive after getting pinned beneath a truck that collapsed on his head, according to FOX5 San Diego.
Cameron King, 17, was working on a truck when a jack slid out from underneath it, dropping the truck on his head and shoulder.
Using all the strength he could muster, Cameron fought against the massive weight of the truck.
Video from the incident shows a neighbor and a UPS driver scrambling to free him.
Rescuers said if the truck had fallen on Cameron an inch over in one direction or another, he could have died.
"The truck was on top of his head. I was pretty surprised," said firefighter, Rich Rinker. "I saw the tire marks on the side of his face and swelling. He's a tough kid."
Cameron said the near-death experience has helped him focus on what's really important.
"I can't tell you how happy I am to be at school right now and to see all your faces and I get to say that I'm the luckiest man alive," Cameron said.
