CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Authorities accuse a 17-year-old teen of robbing and killing a 25-year-old man in a north Charlotte neighborhood.

The Charlotte Observer reported that Trellis Tremayne Rogers is the second man arrested for Wednesday’s fatal shooting of Zachary Jamal Pittman. Police arrested 20-year-old Brandon Keith Newkirk last week. Both are charged with murder and two counts of armed robbery.

Police said Newkirk and Pittman had arranged a drug deal.

The shooting was reported to police around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.

It was unclear if Newkirk has an attorney.
