BURLINGTON, N.C. — A teenager has been charged in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday morning.

16-year-old David Juan Lee Street has been charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon after he put a gun to a woman’s head in an iPhone deal setup on a sales app.

21-year-old April Young met Street at the Grace Brooke Apartments’ parking lot to buy an iPhone. Once she got there, he got into her car and pulled a gun on her before punching her in the head and taking her money and the iPhone.

When they went to question Street, officials found the cell phone on him.

In addition, police believe the 14-year-old juvenile with Street was involved in the crime.

The Burlington Police Department asks that anyone with information concerning the incident contacts the Burlington/Alamance Crime Stoppers at (336) 229-7109.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges are expected.
