BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police said they’ve arrested one teenager and are looking for more after a man was beaten and robbed by multiple people.

Police said they responded to the 400 block of N. Logan Street in reference to a robbery around 5:48 p.m. Saturday.

The victim told police he had been robbed and assaulted by around eight people. His injuries were not life-threatening and he did not need medical attention, police said.

The suspects allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash and were last seen running on North Logan Street toward Webb Ave.

Shortly later, officers said they found multiple juveniles near Webb Avenue and Wildwood Lane fleeing the area.

Four of them were identified by the victim as being involved in the robbery and assault, police said.

One suspect, Jaiquan Montique McDaniel, 16, of Greensboro, was charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, simple assault and larceny.

Police said McDaniel was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

Charges are pending on the other three juvenile suspects.
