Suspect sought in W-S gas station armed robbery

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are looking for a man they say robbed a gas station early Tuesday morning in Winston-Salem.

The armed robbery reportedly took place around 4:10 a.m. when a man walked into the Wilco Hess, 4019 Reynolda Road, and demanded money from the clerk while holding a weapon.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the register before fleeing on foot.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’6″ to 5’8″, long braids in hair and wearing a red coat with gray hoodie. His face was covered during the robbery.
