DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A suspect has been identified and is wanted in connection with the murder of a Davidson County woman.

A warrant for arrest on the charge of murder has been issued for 28-year-old Daryl Kristopher Keeling, of Greensboro, according to Davidson County Sheriff David Grice.

Deputies responded to a welfare check at 303 Christine Lane on Wednesday afternoon and found 29-year-old Allison Middaugh, of the residence, deceased inside.

Grice said preliminary reports indicate Middaugh died of strangulation.

Detectives believe Keeling has left Davidson County area, Grice said.

Grice said Keeling is the victim’s ex-boyfriend. They broke up about two months ago. Grice also said deputies were called to the victim’s house in June over a domestic issue involving Keeling.

Anyone with information on Keeling’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office at (336) 242-2105.
