Suspect sought in Greensboro burglary

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are looking for a suspect they said broke into a home and tried stealing electrical equipment Wednesday morning in Greensboro.

Police said a man entered an apartment around 1:45 a.m. in the 10 block of Sails Ways and tried taking property from the living room.

Officials said the victim confronted him after hearing him from another room. The suspect reportedly fled on foot and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 16 to 17 years old, clean shaven, short hair and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

The investigation is ongoing and no other details were released. Anyone with any information can call Crimestoppers at 727-2800.
