GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are looking for a suspect after a man allegedly broke into a woman’s home and assaulted her Tuesday night in Greensboro.
The victim told police she found an unknown man going through her pocketbook around 8:17 a.m. after leaving her door open in the 400 block of Avalon Road.
Police said the victim confronted the suspect and was assaulted. The suspect then reportedly left on foot.
He is described as a black male, in his 40s, 5’6,” and weighing about 160 pounds. Police said he had a dark complexion and was bald with a close beard and bad teeth. He was reportedly wearing a blue and red striped polo shirt and jeans and had a knife.
