Suspect sought in ATM armed robbery

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are looking for a man they say robbed a person at the Wells Fargo ATM in Winston-Salem Sunday night.

Police responded to an armed robbery around 11:28 p.m. at the ATM on West Fourth Street.

The victim told police that a thin, 5’8″ man wearing a ski mask, black t-shirt and jeans approached him in the parking lot.

The suspect showed a weapon and took an undetermined amount of cash from the victim. The man then fled on foot toward Westend Café.

A canine track was conducted, but the suspect was not found.

This is the second incident of this nature to occur in this area over the past two days, according to police.
