DOBSON, N.C. — An attorney was attacked by a man wielding a pickaxe on Wednesday morning, according to The Mount Airy News.

James Grayson Hall, 52, of Mount Airy, is charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

The incident happened at the office of Hugh Mills, located at 121 W. Atkins St., at about 10:45 a.m.

Dobson Police Chief Shawn Meyers told The Mount Airy News that Hall and Mills had some sort of relationship, though he could not say whether or not Hall was a client of Mills.

Mills was treated for abrasions and cuts at the scene.

Hall also allegedly broke the front window of Mills’ office and a car windshield.

Meyers said additional charges are possible and the investigation is ongoing.
