Student’s finger severed in door at Northwest Guilford Middle School

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A student at Northwest Guilford Middle School severed part of his finger in a door at the school Thursday morning.

According to the News and Record, the eighth-grader somehow got his finger caught in a door which caused part of his finger to be severed.

EMS officials responded and were able to recover the tip of the finger so it could be re-attached.

Officials say the incident happened before classes began for the day.
