ALAMANCE CO., N.C. — Authorities said an Alamance Community College student was arrested for having weapons on campus Thursday in Graham.
The Burlington Times-News reported that Jeremy Philip Vaughn, 21, of Graham, allegedly had a shotgun and three knives in his truck, two in the bed and one inside.
Officials said he had another “broken down, busted knife” in his bookbag, but the charges are related to the ones found in his vehicle.
Officials said the arrest came after a check of parking stickers by campus security. Authorities said there was no “malicious reasoning” in Vaughn having the weapons, but it does violate the campus’ zero-tolerance policy against weapons.
Vaughn was charged with possessing a firearm on school property and with having a weapon on educational property, a misdemeanor. He received a $10,000 bond.
