Store clerk shoots at suspect in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police said a convenience store clerk in Greensboro fired a gunshot at an attempted robber, causing him to run off without taking anything.

Police said the suspect entered John’s Curb Market at 2000 East Market St. around 8:17 a.m. Saturday and demanded money at gunpoint.

Greensboro police said the clerk fired a shot and the suspect ran off. Authorities said there is no indication the suspect was injured.

The suspect was described as a black male, standing about 6’1” with long dreads and a black hooded sweatshirt and ski mask.
