SPENCER, N.C. — Spencer police were investigating a double homicide at a home in the Rowan County town late Wednesday night, WSOC reported.

Investigators are working to find out who is responsible for a double homicide that took place in a home in Spencer late Wednesday night. Officers said they responded to the 600 block of Fifth Street around 10 p.m. and found two men dead inside.

No names have been released and police have not given many details surrounding the deaths.

Family members told Channel 9 that the two were killed during a robbery, but police would not confirm that and did not know how the family had come to that conclusion.
