ASHEBORO, N.C. — Treehouse Trek just opened at the North Carolina Zoo.

The attraction features three treehouses, a large bird nest, several rope bridges and small climbing structures.

Treehouse Trek sits beside Air Hike, the popular aerial ropes course that opened several years ago. Participants must be 4 years old and 48 inches tall for Air Hike — that left some young family members out of the fun. Treehouse Trek offers them a chance to have an outdoor adventure, too.
