DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A small plane made an emergency landing in Davidson County Wednesday morning.
The plane landed in a field off Jerusalem Road around 6:10 a.m.
Officials say the pilot deployed a parachute from the plane at 2,500 feet. He was the only one on board and was not injured.
The parachute is what likely prevented the from crashing, officials say.
The pilot, who was on his way from Monroe to Greensboro, says he makes this flight every day.
