BENSON, N.C. — A small plane headed from Florida to New Jersey was forced to make an emergency landing in a Johnston County field on Thanksgiving, according to WTVD-TV.
The pilot and another person on board said they lost power on the twin-engine plane and had to put down in the Benson area just after 6 p.m.
The men were checked out by paramedics, but were not seriously hurt, according to authorities.
The plane is reportedly now stuck in the muddy field, so the men planned to stay overnight in a local motel. The FAA is expected to investigate.
