Silver Alert issued for Richmond Co. man

RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered Richmond County man.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Alvin Benson Covington, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Covington was last seen at 660 Cartledge Creek Road in Rockingham. He was wearing tan slacks, a light colored shirt, black shoes and a brown jacket.

Covington may be traveling to Greensboro in a silver 2013 Toyota Yaris.

Anyone with information about Covington is asked to call call Det. Keith Mabe at the Richmond County Sheriff Office at 910-895-3232.
