Update: Woman shot in High Point, injuries not life-threatening

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A woman was injured in a shooting this morning in High Point, police said.

The unidentified woman’s injuries are not life-threatening, police Capt. Mike Kirk said. Paramedics took her to High Point Regional Hospital for treatment.

Police responded at 8:56 a.m. to an apartment at 1307 S. Elm St., Kirk said. When they arrived, they found the woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
