A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for multiple counties in the Piedmont on Saturday.

The watch was in effect until 8 p.m. on Saturday for the following counties:

  • Alamance County
  • Chatham County
  • Davidson County
  • Forsyth County
  • Guilford County
  • Randolph County

Affected areas included Burlington, Graham, Greensboro, High Point, Kernersville, Lexington, Rocky Mount, Thomasville and Winston-Salem.

Showers arrived mid-afternoon, and thunderstorms continued into Saturday night. 

Thunderstorms were infrequent on Sunday through the late afternoon and cleared during the evening.
