HIGH POINT, N.C. – The comedian who played “Screech” on the TV comedy “Saved by the Bell” is planning to perform stand-up next month in High Point.

Dustin Diamond plans to perform at the Joke Factory Comedy Club at the High Point Hotel and Conference Center on Feb. 15 and 16.

Organizers say the shows take place at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on both nights. The venue is located at 135 South Main St.

High Point Hotel officials say tickets cost $20 and can be purchased in advance by calling 1-855-477-5292.

Organizers say they are thrilled to bring a name that appeals to both older and younger audiences.

Diamond is best known for playing the nerdy Samuel “Screech” Powers on NBC’s “Saved by the Bell” in the early ‘90s. The 36-year-old has also had several other TV and movie performances including “Celebrity Fit Club.”
