APEX, N.C. — An Apex middle school is rallying around the family of a fallen student.

WTVD-TV reported that 13-year-old Treyion Daniels died in a car crash in Wilson’s Mills earlier this month.

A counselor at Lufkin Road Middle School says the staff raised over $1,000 to help pay for his funeral.

The family’s been struggling to find money to cover the costs.

The family is asking anyone interested in making a donation to send a check to Chappell’s Funeral Home. The address is 555 Creech Road, Garner, NC, 27529.
