School bus carrying 8 students involved in crash in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school bus carrying eight students was involved in a crash with another vehicle Monday morning, according to a press release.

At about 7:33 a.m., police responded to the crash at the intersection of Oak Street and Holly Court.

The school bus, operated by 65-year-old Buddy Lee Lash, was traveling south on Oak Street when the car, operated by 32-year-old Earl Junior Lyles, made a right-hand turn from Holly Court. When he did, the two vehicles collided.

The school bus services students at Mineral Springs Elementary School. No injuries were reported

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
