CHESTER, S.C. — A South Carolina mother is accused of homicide after she put her 4-day-old son in a refrigerator for three hours.
WSOC reports that 27-year-old Angela Blackwell is charged with homicide by child abuse.
A police warrant said that Blackwell placed her son in a refrigeration on Feb. 27, and after three hours, her family called Chester County Emergency Medical Services.
According to the county coroner, the child died the same day of hypothermia.
Blackwell faces 20 years to life in prison if convicted, WBTW reports.
