ROCK HILL, S.C. — A Winthrop college student was attacked and choked at a Redbox rental kiosk in Rock Hill.

The woman was standing outside a CVS in Rock Hill when a man approached her and demanded her keys.

Police said  Lamarcus Williamson drove off in the victim’s car. He was later arrested.

The victim, who did not want to be identified, told WSOC he held her so tight she couldn’t scream.

“He came around behind me and started strangling me, like with his arm.  I continued to try and yell for help, but I wasn’t very loud,” the victim said.

Williamson is in jail with bail set at $45,000.
