Report: Greensboro man shot to death in Central America

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro businessman was reportedly shot to death Tuesday at a restaurant in Central America.

The Greensboro News & Record reports Abdul Aziz Mohammed Dib, 40, was shot while eating lunch with his brother at a Belize restaurant identified as King Kabob.

Dib’s cousin, Hassan Hamze, told the paper that a man at the restaurant walked up to Dib, pointed a gun at him and ordered him not to move before shooting him several times., the website of a Belize television station, reports nine expended 9mm shell casings were recovered at the scene.

No arrests have been made in the shooting, according to to the website.

Hamze told the News & Record that Dib was a car and electronics dealer who would purchase damaged vehicles in the U.S. and transport them to Belize, where his brother repaired and sold them.

Dib was divorced and had two sons, ages 3 and 4, the paper reports.
