‘Real-life Barbie’ Valeria Lukyanova believes she can live on air, light

A Ukrainian model who considers herself a “real-life Barbie doll” said she hopes to eventually live without eating or drinking.

Valeria Lukyanova told the International Business Times that she has a goal of surviving on light and air alone.

It’s part of something known as Breatharianism, where followers don’t eat or drink, but instead live on “cosmic micro-food.”

Lukyanova has said she uses her appearance to promote her “spiritual ideas.”

Seattle resident Naveena Shine tried a similar feat last year, hoping to go 100 days of living only on water and tea, according to The Guardian.

Shine went 47 days, but called it off after she said she received a “message from the universe that it is time to stop.”
