Thomasville convenience store robbed at gunpoint [Raw Video]

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Police on Thursday released surveillance footage of a Thomasville convenience store robbery in hopes the public can help identify the suspect. 

According to police, the robbery happened around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at Kings Food Mart at 805-A Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. 

In the raw video, the unidentified suspect can be seen walking into the store before he places a soda on the counter and pulls out a handgun.  The clerk then calmly grabs a bag and begins emptying the cash register. 

There were no customers inside the store at the time.  The clerk was not injured. 

The suspect is described as a black male standing about 6′ tall and weighing between 220 and 230 pounds.
