Randolph EMC reporting 1,300 outages in Randolph, Alamance counties

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — Randolph Electric Membership Corporation is reporting 721 outages in Randolph County and 633 outages in Alamance County as of 9 a.m. Sunday.

Crews worked steadily overnight to repair broken poles and downed lines from Friday’s ice storm, the company said in a news release.

“We’re so appreciative of members’ patience as crews work to repair the damage from the ice storm,” said Dennis Mabe, Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Randolph EMC. “With the extra help from contract and sister cooperative crews, we’ve made some good progress so far, and are confident that our progress will continue today,” he added.
