DENTON, N.C. -- Danny “Chocolate” Myers grew up in a racing family. He also spent most of his career working on the pit crew for the late Dale Earnhardt.

Chocolate’s dad, Bobby Myers was one of racing’s early pioneers. Bobby and his brother Billy were regulars at Bowman Gray Stadium. Sadly both Bobby and Billy died in racing accidents.

The new racing history exhibit is built to look like an old garage from the 1950s, a place where you would find people like the Myers brothers working on their cars. There are old mementos and tools from the era and even a 1937 for race car that once ran on the beach at Daytona.
