GREENSBORO, N.C. — A group of protesters gathered outside the courthouse in downtown Greensboro on Thursday afternoon following recent shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota.

The group, made up mainly of local college students, was demonstrating in reaction to the officer-involved shooting deaths of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling.

On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said President Barack Obama is “deeply disturbed” by the recent shootings.
