GREENSBORO, N.C. – A popular Greensboro restaurant will close next week after being open for more than nine years.

Zaytoon Mediterranean Cafe at 301 N. Elm St. will announced earlier this week that the downtown business will shut their doors on Wednesday.

“We found out last September that we would no longer be able to stay at our current location on Elm Street,” the restaurant posted to Facebook. “We will still continue to go to the farmer market as well as selling to local stores in Greensboro as we try to figure out what is next for us.”

The Mediterranean restaurant serves local, natural, organic, vegetarian and vegan food, according to their website. Reviews on Google and Yelp were overwhelmingly positive.

“We truly appreciate all of the love and support our customers have given us over the years,” according to the restaurant’s statement on Facebook.
