Popular Greensboro restaurant closes after more than 20 years

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Melting Pot fondue restaurant in Greensboro closed its location at 2924 Battleground Ave. on Wednesday.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to have served the Greensboro community for more than 20 years. Thank you for your patronage,” the restaurant said on Facebook.

Officials with the restaurant said their goal is to open a larger, new restaurant to better serve guests.

The restaurant is a chain of franchised fondue restaurants with various items including cheese fondues, wines, salads, entrees of meat and seafood.

The chain has other locations in North Carolina including Huntersville, Charlotte, Durham, Raleigh and Wilmington.
