GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Pop-up parking lots around the coliseum can be good money for business, homeowners and even churches during the ACC tournament.

"It's more than enough," says Alex Garicia, owner of Alex and JoJo's Full Service Station. The ACC traffic keeps his customers away but he's making up for it by turning his property into 67 parking spaces which also helps during his slow winter season. “We get a really nice bump, especially in the winter time.”

City officials say it's all legal. The coliseum charges $20 to park while fans can save by turning into business and churches to park.

“We take donations, anywhere from $10 to $20; I’ve had people to pay $3,” said Deacon Cal Stack with Immanuel Baptist Church. The money raised is used for the maintenance on the church parking lot and church mission programs.

"It's all used for either the church or missions outside church," said Stack. "None of it is wasted.”
