WAKE FOREST, N.C. — A police department in North Carolina is warning residents about a “suspicious person” approaching children.
WTVD reported that the Wake Forest Police Department is warning people after two men in a work van allegedly approached a young girl.
Police in the Wake County town said it happened Sunday morning as the girl was walking her dog. The driver allegedly asked her to come over to the van.
The girl ran away and told her mom, who immediately called the police, according to officials. The girl’s age has not been released.
The van is either gray or silver with no back windows and scratches along the front and back ends.
