Police searching for suspect in Greensboro hotel robbery

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A hotel in Greensboro was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning.

Police responded to the Econo Lodge located at 120 E. Seneca Road after receiving a call about a robbery at about 1:20 a.m.

The clerk told police the suspect entered the business, pulled out a gun and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot toward East Seneca Road.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-10 male wearing a denim top, denim pants and a blue hat.

The investigation is ongoing.
