Police: Robbery suspect points gun at Harris Teeter worker

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police say a man pointed a gun at a Winston-Salem grocery store employee early Monday during a robbery.

The robbery was reported shortly after 12:30 a.m. Monday at the Harris Teeter at 1955 North Peace Haven Road.

According to police, the suspect was wearing a white mask when he walked inside the store, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.

Police say the suspect ran away from the scene after he was given an undetermined amount of cash.

Officers used a K-9 in an attempt to track the suspect, but he has not been found as of 6 a.m.

No ample suspect description was provided.

Police ask that anyone with information about the incident would call Crimestoppers at 727-2800.
