Police respond to shooting in Greensboro, victim transported

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police responded to an assault call in Greensboro on Tuesday evening.

At 6:20 p.m., officers responded to 2506 E. Wendover Ave. reference to an assault call.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No suspect description at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.

The name and address of the victim is being withheld temporarily.
