Suspect sought in Winston-Salem bank robbery

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police responded to a bank robbery around 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

Officers responded to the Piedmont Federal Savings and Loan, located at 5189 Northern Quarters Drive, after a call regarding a robbery.

Upon arrival, police learned that a white male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, of average height and build, entered the bank and demanded money from the teller.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a multicolored hooded sweatshirt, dark T-shirt and dark toboggan.

The suspect was last seen traveling east on Hanes Mill Road in a white SUV.
