WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police said a small group caused some traffic congestion while protesting abortion Tuesday afternoon in Winston-Salem.

Officers responded to the intersection of Silas Creek Parkway and Silas Ridge Road around 1 p.m.

Police said a group of about 15 people, who identified themselves as being with “Operation Save America,” were protesting abortion.

The protesters were holding large signs featuring graphic photos, police said.

Traffic became congested as a result of the protest, so the officers asked the group to leave, according to police. The protesters left without further disturbance.

No arrests or injuries were reported.
