Police: Mount Airy man stole items from city government center

MOUNT AIRY, N.C. — A man was arrested after police said he broke in and stole several items from a local government center in Mount Airy.

The Mount Airy News reported that Christopher Dennis Moore, 28, of Mount Airy, allegedly took $3,066 worth of tools and supplies, including copper items from the city government’s public services center on East Pine Street.

Moore is accused of two felonies, larceny after breaking/entering and breaking or entering a motor vehicle.
