Police looking for man accused of stealing from Burlington jewelry store

BURLINGTON, N.C. – Police are looking for a man accused of stealing from a Burlington jewelry store on Friday afternoon.

Burlington police said officers were called to Eden Jewelry at 2767 S. Church St. at about 4:25 p.m. in reference to a larceny.

Employees told officers that a man entered the business and asked to look at some merchandise.

An employee said he handed the suspect a piece of jewelry and the suspect ran out the front door with it.

Police said the suspect was last seen entering a silver four-door sedan which left the parking lot west on South Church Street toward Guilford County.

It appears that the suspect vehicle has aftermarket rims and a silver front license plate with an unknown emblem.
