GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police say a man who was found dead over the weekend on the side of a Greensboro roadway died of natural causes.

Officers responded shortly after 8:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of a man lying on the side of the road at the Creek Ridge overpass at U.S. 220.

The man was found to be dead.  Police initially investigated the man’s death as suspicious, but have since determined he died of natural causes.

Police identified the man as 62-year-old Jonsie Printes Robertson.

No other details were provided.
