HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WTVD) — Hope Mills police are asking for the public’s help in the search for a missing teenage girl.

Danielle Locklear, 15, was last seen by a family member on March 11.

“I want my baby to come home,” said Locklear’s mother, Rowna Fowler told WTVD. “No one knows what a mother goes through. I’m feeling like my heart has been ripped out.”

Police don’t know if she is alive or dead.

“Every avenue is being investigated. Every lead is being pursued,” said Hope Mills Police Chief Joel Acciardo.

According to WTVD, Fowler said some of her daughter’s clothing was found at a popular creek-bank hangout last Thursday.

Police also have information that Locklear may have been at an RV park near the Fayetteville Airport.

On Tuesday, police were out canvassing the neighborhood where Locklear lived with her grandparents.

Investigators said she left home last Tuesday night saying she was going up the street to a friend’s home, but she never made it there.

A friend of Locklear’s said she talked to her a few days before she disappeared, and said Danielle made no mention of leaving home, or running away.

A multi-agency task force has been created to help find the teen.

Anyone with information about Locklear’s whereabouts is asked to dial 911.
