GREENSBORO, N.C. -- You hear of road rage incidents happening all the time on major highways, but not necessarily on college or university campuses. However, it happened this past weekend right here in the Piedmont.

UNCG police say it happened on Spring Garden Street Saturday night at 10:00.

Police are looking for three vehicles involved. According to their description one of the vehicles appears to be a gray Acura with dark colored wheels and a sunroof.

The second vehicle is described as a red or orange car with wheels that are the same orange or red color. The vehicle has a sunroof and also has headlights that appear to be green in color. The third vehicle is described as a white four door car with shiny wheels and a sunroof.

Police say that those three cars attempted to block another car from turning into the parking lot of Yum Yum restaurant.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the woman in that car and the passenger, who police say is a juvenile.

However the victims were able to hop the curb and get away. The man who police say pointed the gun at them was the driver of that Grey Acura.

Many who go to that area often say they were safe and that it’s a pretty safe area.

“You know, it's very well-lit at nighttime. There are some dark areas but it's not like a super unsafe feeling, you know. I would say so. On a scale of one to safe I would give it like 7,” said Javier Hernandez, who frequents the area.

UNCG police are still investigating what happened, but if you have any information you're asked to call Crime Stoppers.
