Police command suspect to come out of home with hands up in Archdale standoff

ARCHDALE, N.C. — Police flooded the area surrounding an Archdale home Friday morning. Officers were engaged in a stand off on the 300 block of Circle Drive. They  arrived around 5 a.m. and called out over megaphone for the person inside a home to come out. Police told FOX8 they received a call about shots being fired in Archdale, but the situation turned out to be an aggravated assault. K-9 units and officers in riot gear were also at the scene. Police thought someone had barricaded themselves inside a home, but no one was found inside the home. There were no arrests and no reported injuries. Police are still searching for a suspect in relation to an aggravated assault.
