Google kicks off April Fools with ‘Pokémon Challenge’

It’s April 1 in Australia and Japan meaning April Fools Day has officially arrived – and Google is the first to get attention with its “Pokémon Challenge.”

The Google Maps team released a teaser for an augmented reality Pokémon game where gamers can discover and capture all of the Pokémon creatures to fill up their Pokédex.

By navigating to different places on Google Maps, you will discover hidden game characters.

You have until 2 a.m. PT on April 2 to catch all of the characters.
