GREENSBORO, N.C. — A developer is set to present what’s in store for the Friendly-Hobbs intersection at Monday night’s Greensboro Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
Right now the area is residential but it’s right next to Friendly Shopping Center.
However, some people want to keep that more residential feel, that’s why they’re opposed to retail stores.
The Atlanta-based developer Halpern Enterprises said they heard those complaints and changed the plan in response.
What they’ll present tonight is a mixed-use development plan that will include shops but also single-family homes and town homes.
The developer said he’ll continue to work with the community to make this a development everyone can enjoy.
FOX8 will be there tonight at the planning and zoning meeting to bring you the latest.
