GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for three people of interest in connection with a deadly home invasion that claimed the life of a Greensboro man earlier this month.

Marvin Alexander Hart, 43, was found suffering from a laceration wound in his home at 1540 McConnell Road on April 3, police said. He was pronounced dead after being taken to Moses Cone Hospital.

Police said Hart had arrived at his home around 9:45 p.m. to discover an intruder or intruders who had broken in. The victim was then wounded during a struggle, police said.

Undisclosed property was also taken during the break-in, police said.

Investigators developed three persons of interest sought in the case after reviewing surveillance footage.

Police said the persons were in the area between 9 and 10 p.m. that night, during which a severe rain storm was passing through. They were traveling together on foot, police said.

In addition, police are searching for the owner of a silver, four-door vehicle.  Police said the vehicle was a late-80s to early-90s model and may have been a Toyota.  It entered the area before 9:30 p.m. and left shortly after the persons of interest walked through the parking lot of 503 South Booker St., police said.

Anyone with information about the persons or vehicle of interest are asked to call Crimestoppers at (336) 373-1000.  A cash reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of whoever is responsible.
