Ralph Lauren to bring 500 new jobs to High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. --Gov. Bev Perdue announced Tuesday that the Ralph Lauren Corporation in High Point will create 500 jobs over the next five years. 

According to a press release, Ralph Lauren was awarded a grant for $500,000 from the state to facilitate the expansion, which will include inventory management and additional R&D operations. Salaries associated with the expansion will vary by job function, but the total payroll will be nearly $15.5 million.

Ralph Lauren Corporation is High Point’s fourth largest employer, with more than 1,400 employees. 

“We are happy to have found a home in High Point and look forward to expanding our operations in North Carolina and continuing our commitment to the community with the creation of new jobs over the next few years,” said Roger Farah, president and chief operating officer, Ralph Lauren Corporation.

Ralph Lauren’s North Carolina operations consists of three distribution centers, a customer contact center, various office functions, a research and development facility, and more.
